November Memories

November is almost over. I can't believe how quickly our time flies. Now we are busy preparing for Caleb's 2nd birthday and Christmas. It's just crazy! My kids are growing so fast, Caleb is coming out with more and more words everyday. He's our one hit wonder, he'll repeat something Dave and I say, and we of course get blown away by it, but then he won't say it a second time. Plus he's doing great with potty training. He's staying dry most days, with the exception of nap time, which when we started he would wake up still dry, but this past week he's been wetting his pull up during his sleep. But that's o.k. I'm just glad that he's pooping in the toilet now!
Amberly is more and more becoming stronger and developing her own little personality. She is our little princess, that's for sure. At her 4 mth. check up she is now upto 14.5 lbs. She picks up things and sucks on them, her back and neck muscles are so strong and she actually is jumping in the jolly jumper as opposed to just hanging there! Below are some recent photos.

Aren't her cheeks just so cute?!?!I tried getting photo's of the two of them together, this was the closest to "non frustration" looking.

Caleb willing went along with my plan because a) I let him in Amberly's crib and b) he was allowed to push her mobile button!

Here's my girl working out!

I decided to gel Caleb's hair one afternoon. I was brushing my hair and he wanted me to do that to him, so I got Daddy's gel out too, I thought, what the heck!

My happy girl!
Caleb helped me make brownies one day last week. He of course wanted to lick the spoon!

My beauty playing with her fishy ball.
Amberly's nite nite time, Caleb giving her kisses before bed.

One of her "4 mth" shots.
So that's about it! I love taking and looking at all these pictures, but I've majorly fallen behind in my scrapbooking, I mean majorly! Over a years worth that's for sure! Maybe it will have to be my new years resolution!

What to do, What to do

Well, it's way past my bedtime, but I'm a single parent tonight, and I need to stay up to give Amberly her late feed. I'm so tired. I left some tasks that I must accomplish before going to bed (like washing bottles which I'll need before I feed Amberly) but I just want to crawl under the covers and sleep. Dave is in Toronto for tonight, he is attending the Promise Keepers conference. He went with Kris, so Shannon and I thought it would be a good idea to have supper together to pass the "yucky" time of our day which seems to always be around dinner time. It wasn't easier that's for sure. Caleb was having such a great time with Mason that when it was time to go he had a complete melt down. He was kicking and screaming out the door, and Amberly was tired, and she was screaming, so both my children were screaming which then made her Jaden scream. Then the funniest thing happened, I opened the door to step out and just like that it was pitch black the power went off! I couldn't see my hand in front of my face it was so dark! Both Shannon and I said together "ohhhhh nooooo" I think we were in tune because we sang it out really! But praise the Lord, the power came back on, but man, immediately things rolled through my head, things like "where's our flashlights, there goes bath night, how do I warm a bottle?, what will I do with Caleb till bedtime"

We got home and settled back into a normal routine and both babies are sleeping sound. I watched a movie. Baby Mama, don't ask me why, but I did. I only had one laugh out loud moment, and that's about it. So not so great.

The time is slowly moving on to 11pm. Tomorrow I'm going to my parents place for the day. I'm going to take Caleb with my brother Steve and his girls to the O'ville santa claus parade. It will be Caleb's very first parade. Amberly will stay with my mom, she can wait until next year. Dave has taken Monday off and we're going to Christmas shop, I'm looking forward to that. Caleb will be at Christa's for the day so we'll only have Amberly. We're hoping to get the majority of it done, we'll see! I'm really looking forward to Christmas. Buying for the kids is just so much fun.

Anyway, I will go and try to get those things done, through my yawning and watery eyes. Ahhhh dear.

Halloween

That's my Happy Pumpkin Girl!

This was the end of the night and both kids were so tired!

This last one freaks me out, Caleb's facial expression is such a big boy smirk! Yikes! All in all, we had a fun time!
