A Busy Week

I'm so exhausted! This week has just been one thing after another. On the weekend Dave and I worked most of the time on the basement, painting trim and doors. This totally sucked because the weather outside was so nice and we were stuck indoors. On Monday I continued to work down there while Caleb napped, on top of the normal stuff like laundry. Then we had baseball that night. Tuesday my parents came for the day, and my Dad and I worked on it for the day again, this time my Mom was looking after Caleb. Then the Welcome Wagon came for Caleb, it was nice, but man, she went through every piece of paper and explained it to me, I can read..... That night Dave and I met a real estate agent to look at a house we have been interested in for a while. The house was gorgeous, I loved it so much. But the owners are being so sticky and they want to take everything including the microwave and dishwasher which are built in AND there is a shed in the back they want aswell, on a cement pad and everything! CRAZY! It's already over priced, so I think we'll pass it by!

Yesterday I was at Shannon's for the morning entertaining Mason. Then finally I got to rest a bit in the afternoon. Then Dave played baseball with Kris and then he got home and I was out the door to play a late game with his work team (he stayed home with Caleb). Today I have groceries to get, then tonight we have more baseball.

It made the week go by quickly, but man, I'm tired!

Caleb @ 7 Months

I tried to get Caleb talking away, he was going on and on like he was so excited to tell me a story, but as soon as the camera came out and the light was flashing he played shy.....

In the Seventh Month!

This past Friday Caleb reached the 7th month mark, I can't believe it! Here are the official pictures of 7mths!

We went church camping on the weekend, and it was miserable with the weather, but we managed to have fun anyway. I didn't get many pictres (probably a good thing) but I did manage to get Caleb playing with Kayley.

It was very cold Friday night, so Caleb was all bundled up for the night, I think he was quite comfortable! Kayley chatters away da da da da da da, she's not really saying dada, but that's her way of talking, and my little guy decided to be a copycat! Today that's all I've been hearing, it's cute though, it's his first real time just chattering away to me like that. I'll tell Dave he's talking to him, maybe then Dave will feel compelled to do more for him when he gets home ha ha ha!

Lovely Rain

Last night we got caught in a downpour while playing baseball. It's been a long time since I've enjoyed being out in the rain like that. Afterwards my skin felt so soft I loved it. I didn't like the afterwards, it was hot and sticky out which made being wet even worse, but in that moment, it felt so great!

Not much is going on this week. Dave and I are trying to completely finish our basement. So we've been painting the trim down there, and next will be the doors. It's pretty tedious, I really don't enjoy doing it.

This past weekend I took Caleb and spent the day at my parents. We had a great day, my whole family was there. I got to see Norma for a short while. It was nice seeing her and laughing with her, I truly miss that. Sunday was a family reunion on Dave's side. It was hot and sticky and boring really. The guys all got a game of baseball going which made it fun for them.

This weekend we're going church camping. I'm looking forward to that, I just hope the weather will be alright. We have borrowed Benji's tent because it's so big. I'm hoping the humidity won't be so bad.

My little one is finally settled for a nap, so I think I'm going to try and get a shower in. hmmmm, or maybe I should vaccuum......

Shower it is, my friend from work just called and I'm going to meet everyone for lunch in an hour. Should be fun!

Camping

I needed a few days to catch up on some rest after the whole camping trip. Not that camping wasn't relaxing, it was. Just the last day and treking home was a lot of work. We had 9 loads of laundry to do! We had a great time. It was about 20mins north of Parry Sound. We got there Sunday evening and we set up camp. Our site was nice, only a minute away from the comfort station which for us girls was very important! The water however was a good 10 minute walk. But we happily did that almost every day. It only rained once and that was Saturday night, other than that we had great weather.

Caleb had a blast. He was literally a happy camper. I think he loved being outdoors all the time. He enjoyed watching the chipmunks running around. He also went into the lake a lot and had fun there. All in all, we had a great time as a family. We got out for 1 hike, and walked to the visitor centre a couple of times. We also checked out some of the different beaches the park had to offer. Almost every night some of us would drive out to the store for firewood or ice, and even an odd treat here and there. I don't think I would ever "tent" there because of the experience we had with raccoons. (Steve got to use a tent trailer for the week which we all shared, it was so nice.) We didn't see any bears or snakes for that matter. But Christa and I did see a fox.

We spent a day in Parry Sound looking in some shops, had fish and chips for lunch and picked up more groceries. We made many great memories. Dave loved it so much that he really wants to go camping for another week this summer. I on the other hand am not so eager! Don't get me wrong, I loved every minute of it, but the whole preparing to go and then packing up to come home is tiring. We'll see though.

By the way, the bugs were terrible, why did God create mosquitoes??

I'm Home

We had a great time away. I'm pretty tired, from getting things put away, I don't really feel up to typing about my holiday. Not yet anyway. When I have more energy I will and I will post pictures too. But I just wanted to tell everyone we had a wonderful week, Caleb did great, I think we have quite the little camper on our hands! It was a beautiful place, but in the end, with all the bugs, I decided that I didn't need to come back in a hurry!
