Wow It's windy out

Dave and I were downstairs in the basement watching Posieden, and when I came up here it's sooooo windy I was shocked.

This has been a week full of events. I'm so tired really. The exciting things I did this week included a dinner at the new Mandarin in Kitchener on Wednesday with the girls from work. Then on Thursday, I was asked last minute if I would be interested in going to a Customer Appreciation Night put on by ESI for work. I said sure, but after saying yes I doubted myself in going because I've been so tired lately. But I went. We had to leave work early on that day and we went to Toronto for a dinner at a Restuarant called Bumpkins. It was really yummy food. Then we were treated to The Blue Man show. This show was a blast! I have never seen or been to anything like it. I wish I could describe it to you but, there are too many words to use and my fingers won't type that many tonight! I loved every minute of it. This too made for a very late night, I didn't get home until midnight or shortly after. Friday was my half day, so I went to bed when I got home and slept for a couple of hours. Last night Dave and I went to the mall with Steve and Christa and we had dinner at the food court, how special is that eh?!

Today I went to the farm along with Fern and Joy, picking up Sally along the way. My mom threw a baby shower for me. It was so nice. The girls from my mom's whole side came and 3 of my aunts from my Dad's side came. I got some really great gifts, I was very overwhelmed and Deb! You surprised me. I can't thank you enough for sending that package along. I loved every bit of it. That white sleeper with the sheep on it is absolutely adorable. And I love the Sheep in the Jeep book! Everything sheepy! IT was sooooo wonderful. Thank you so much! If you were here I would give you a big hug!

I was very overwhelmed by the things I received. We were blessed with some adorable outfits, Fern got us a cute "My first Christmas" outfit. One of my cousins, who is also a new mom, gave us a bag of what she called the "essentials" with bathing stuff, face clothes, bum cream, soothers, lots of things. We even got a highchair from my aunt Cathy and cousins Jodi and Becky. Denise supplied us with a monitor and Sally with a play mat! It was great. It's exciting really. Now I just need to wash these new things and organize the dresser.

Tomorrow Dave and I may go to Babies R Us and use the gift certificates we received to get maybe the bath tub and Bundle Me carseat cover. Then I'm going over to Joy's for a Mary Kay spa treatment! Woohoo!

Anyway, I know the clocks turn back tonight, but I'm feeling so drowsy, I want to go to bed now! I'll probably sit in a bath for a bit, since my hips are already aching and I haven't even been in bed yet! Maybe I'll read myself to sleep tonight instead of cry myself to sleep! I'm so far behind in reading my book for Sunday School. I should really work on that!

I'm Ready

Well not really, but this has been kind of an eventful weekend. Right now I just finished wrapping up the Christmas gifts I have bought so far. On top of that, Krista's birthday present and Sharlene's shower present. I still have the small things to think about, like any group gift I need to buy for, plus I still have my Mom and Dave to worry about too. Dave can worry about his family. But hopefully next weekend we'll get more done! So when ever this baby decides to come into this world, atleast we've got a good head start!

Friday night Dave and I met Jay for dinner at Red Lobster. Dave and I were there first, and while waiting I was reading the menu. I'm not a fan of fish to begin with, so I told Dave that I think I was going to order the chicken. He laughed at me and said I couldn't do that in Red Lobster! So I ventured to the next safe thing, bbq'd shrimp. It was really good, I enjoyed them. Dave and Jay had good meals too. Well, about 4 hours after my meal......Dave and I were sitting watching tv, when it hit me. I said "Oh oh, my dinner is not staying." It was seconds, I knew it was going to happen, I had just enough time to get a bag and make it into the bathroom, and out it all came. It was awful, shrimp coming back up is not good! I then had cold sweats for an hour or 2 after, I just went to bed. Then Dave at 12:30am fed me some gingerale and soda crackers, and come 7:30am I woke up totally fine. I'm telling ya, this whole pregnancy has thrown my body all wacky. I have never thrown up as much as I have over these past 33wks! I have never felt so run down as I have. It's crazy!

Saturday I went to Newmarket with my Mom. Then came back home, to find that Dave finished assembling the dresser for the baby's room. It's in order now, I just have to wash all the clothes that we have collected so far and put them away, and hang new blinds. I will definately show you pictures, but right now it still looks like a mess, so I'll wait for some more organizing!

Anyway today we went to church. Then we had Steve and Christa over for lunch. After lunch we went to East Side Mario's for dessert. Mmmm I had a funnel cake! Then I had a nice big afternoon nap. Now I'm here.

Shopping Success

Well this past weekend was a success. We left Friday night for St. Catharines, and our hotel was amazing. The manager upgraded our suite so we each had our own queen bed and there was 4 of us in the room! It was awesome! Then Saturday was the full and very long day. We shopped at the Pen Centre, and I got the majority of my Christmas shopping done. I think all I have left to get is my Mom's and Dave's gift. Dave can worry about his family! After shopping we headed back to Waterloo where we had dinner at Kelsey's, then we all went to see The Gaurdian with Kevin Costner, it was a very good movie. I got home at 10pm and when I found Dave's arms I just curled up in them and cried. Silly I know. I had a great time away, but I was so tired. And I missed him terribly. (I forgot to say that I hadn't seen Dave since Thurs. morning because he and Steve went to Ottawa Thurs. for a hockey game and spent the night and we missed eachother on Friday.)

Sunday I was still a wreck, so tired. We went to Sunday School and then I had to be on nursery duty, thank goodness there was only 3 kids to look after, or else I think I would have died. Then Dave took me out for ice cream after lunch. When we got back I had a big nap. Sunday night Dave's friend Joe and his wife came over for a visit. Then I went to bed once they left.

Today I had another Dr.'s appt. Everything is going well, I lost a pound over the past 2 wks, but that's because I was so sick last week. I still expanded 3cms. Only this time the Dr. told me that the heart rate sounded like a boy this time! hahaha, he'll have me guessing until the end. He told me not to worry, that I'll be the second to know what it is!

Tonight Dave and I went to Stratford to visit Sharlene and Jason and met Kayley. What a precious tiny thing. She is so small. So adorable. It made me excited to meet my little one. Kayley is doing so well, she was off the feeding tubes and monitors as of Sunday and today the doctors told them that tomorrow may be the day they release her, so that is so exciting!

Well it's really past my bed time and I'm so ready to get there. yawns.....

Day 2

Well I feel much much better today. I woke up feeling pretty weak in the tummy, and I was had a cold sweat, so I decided to stay home again. I slept for the whole morning, then I attempted making myself some soup. The power went off! So no soup, I ate more crackers. The power was off for a good 3 hours, in that time I read some things on labour, and I assembled the baby rocker we got. Right now I feel 100% better. I'm starving, so Dave is going to bring me something to eat. But I'm glad I had this restful day to get all better.

I'm just glad it was a bug and not just being sick because I'm pregnant. I've heard many women tell me that in their last stretch of pregnancy they got sick again, and I don't want to go through that again.

Ahhhh I can't believe this...

I am sick, not because I'm pregnant, because I've caught a bug or the flu. This has been the most unpleasant day ever. Last night I was sick through the whole night, I lost my whole turkey dinner. Then when I got up this morning I went to work. I was there for 2 hours. I had to run to the bathroom and I didn't quite make it to the toilet before I spewed everywhere. Then in a frantic tizzy I quickly cleaned up after myself praying real hard that no one walks in. I even got it in my hair. So I then was there for a good 15 mins. cleaning, then I ran home. Only to make it in time to throw up the rest of my breakfast. I was crying like crazy. It's truly aweful being sick and alone. I called Dave and he offered to come home, but I couldn't let him do that. Then I called my mom and she wasn't home, so I started to cry even more, I felt bad because I left a sobbing message on their machine.

I pulled myself together and called the Dr's office. He later called me back and told me there isn't anything I can really do, just to ride it out. He said there is a bug going around and he's not concerned that it's anything but that--a bug. He again said that my blood sugar test was very normal and that I have no risk of the Gestational Diabetes which can cause vomitting. So I have been in bed all day. Dave did come home a bit early with gingerale, and so far I haven't thrown up since 11:30 this morning. I still feel like crap, and I've only eaten a bowl of hot cereal and 5 crackers all day. But they've stayed down.

Anyway I just pray that I feel better soon, because I don't have any more sick days from work, and I have to go away this weekend with the ladies from church.

It's Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving. We have had such a wonderful weekend. The weather has be so wonderful, I love Fall when it's nice out like that. Yesterday Dave and I spent the whole day out at my parents. All of us "kids" went out for a nice long walk out into the back fields through the hardwood bush. We got some nice pictures. We had a big turkey dinner polished off with pumpkin pie. We also celebrated my Dad and my brother's birthday's. Today is Steve's and tomorrow is my Dad's.

Today we're going over to Fern and Mert's for another dinner. I'm going to be so full! My dad was teasing me about how "full" I looked yesterday! hahahaha.

I think I'm at the fun part of the baby moving. I get little limbs that stick out and when it moves, my whole belly moves. Dave thinks it feels like tremors! hahaha. The unfortunate thing is I'm experiencing the first 3 months of nausea again :( Over the past few days I've been really ill. I'm back to taking my medicine regularly. Last night I couldn't sleep I was so uncomfortable so I tried out the couch, and I wasn't there long before I had to run to the toilet to hurl. Lovely I know!

Anyway my Davey wants me to get ready and leave right now! So I'll maybe write more later :)
Have lots of turkey :)

A Foot

I guess going through this experience brings many firsts. Sunday afternoon was the first time I actually saw a bump appear on my belly, I touched it and it was small and hard and then it moved slowly down. I swear it was my babe's foot. I hollered for Dave to come, because it happened again, but then he still missed it.

Dave's cousin Sharlene had her baby today! I can't believe it. It came 6 weeks early, a little girl. They named her Kayley (not sure how they are spelling it) She's doing well, on a ventilator but, doing great. I just can't believe it still! I'm so happy for them. It makes me think of how much longer I have to go now.

Ok, I really have nothing else to say at this moment. Besides that I'm tired. Hmm.
