Rested

Well, it's been awhile since my last post. But things have just been nutty here. The biggest news is we sold the house! It was an amazing answer to prayer. It got listed on that Friday before the long weekend, and the first showing was on a the following Tuesday night. Then we had 2 showings on Wednesday night. That night I went out with my friends for a movie night. We watched What Happens In Vegas. When I got home, Dave told me that we sold the house! Just like that! The one couple came, saw it, gave us full asking price without any conditions! Sold in Five Days, is what was printed in the paper! So the big day will be August 28th. The way Dave put it to our agent, "In six weeks we'll have a newborn, and then six weeks after that, we'll move." Since that all happened we've been meeting with the bank, and seeing our agent, we've already had to pick out everything for the new house, the blue prints were finalized on Tuesday and plans sent to the township, so we think next week will be the start of the build. Man, it's been a whirlwind. I just got finished meeting with a moving company. Because the possession date is a Thrusday, and they get our house the same day, we think we'll need an agency to move us. It sounds so silly because we're just moving down the street. But we can't very well ask all of our friends to take the day off to help us move. So now we're just waiting and praying that all will go well with the build and that the moving day will go off without a hitch.

Last weekend was the auction at my parents place. It was so odd seeing lots of people at the farm and watching things we've had for years be sold. Norma came and watched for a bit with me which was so nice. It was a successful auction, and it was a beautiful day too. Here are a few shots of the day events!
