In the End.

4 more days to go, then I'm finished with work. I'm going to use my holiday time up before this baby decides to arrive. I was hoping things would slow down a bit for me, but so far, I'm still on the go. This past weekend was not such a great one. I feel a bit sad for my husband because I think I didn't make it enjoyable for him. He had planned a camping trip with Kris a couple of months ago, for both our families to hang out. We went to Kincardine. We had borrowed Mert and Fern's trailer, which was nice, but at the same time, this past weekend's weather was not suitable for an 8mth pregnant woman. Plus the matress I had was pitiful and I sat awake for most of the night Friday night longing for my own bed. As soon as we arrived there on Friday I was longing for Sunday to come so I could just go home. It was not relaxing one bit, especially with Caleb who was on the go constantly. Atleast he had a blast. The benefit of that was he slept wonders for us! But everything seemed wrong with me. My feet are now the size of elephant feet. My hips ached, I swear, I now know what an 80 year old feels like. Saturday we took the kids to the beach. Caleb was unsure about it at first, I think because the sound of the waves were pretty loud. But he finally inched his way into it and was enjoying himself, so much so, that when it came time for us to leave, he had a melt down. I've included some pictures that we took.

This coming weekend we finally don't have much on the go. I think I can finally relax on Saturday and just do minor things. Hmmm, like I should finally get a few plants to put in our front garden, since the weeds aren't so pretty! Plus, again, I need to start thinking about this little baby. I need to go and find a new bottle system, since we returned all of our Avent stuff. And I need to find Father's Day stuff for not only my Daddy, but for Dave and Mert too!

Our house is making progress, last week there was a hole, and now there's a foundation and stuff, it's pretty exciting to see the progress of it.

Dave is at the Toronto Blue Jay game tonight, so it was just me and Caleb. We had a good night together, we went to the park for a good hour and then he had a nice long, luke warm bath, we snuggled for 1/2 an hour and then he went right to sleep for me. Now I'm here catching up on things and sorting through other stuff.

You can just see the joy in his face. He loved just being free and able to go where he wanted. Plus he really enjoyed following Mason around. Below is our trailer we had. It was nice, and yes it did have air conditioning. However, even with that luxury, I still had a rough time with the heat! Here is a cute one of Caleb and Miss Jaden enjoying a little dip in the kiddie pool we brought. It was shortly after this photo when Caleb had an explosive diaper. Little does he know that this kind of thing does not impress the ladies!

there are not many a woman that would camp at 8 months pregnant...I'll give you that. I can imagine it is difficult to get a good nights sleep in your own bed let alone in a trailer!!
Caleb DOES look like he had fun!! so that is good...
you should show us pictures of the hole where your new house will be...we can watch it slowly change and grow!
The begining of your mat leave should be good for Caleb as he will get some 'mommy' time before he becomes a big brother.
elephant feet...yikes!! get that hubby to rub them! do you need to borrow a foot spa?
hope you have a relaxing and restful few weeks before the baby comes!!!
take care and thanks for the update!

Amy- her BABY is in her belly :)

Oh Char.. the end is always hard. I honestly can't believe you went camping, even in a trailer, at this point. You are a good wife and a brave woman to do it. At that point I didn't even want to be in a car that long!!

I wish I'd known you were in Kincardine! We could have come visit for a bit.

Oh and I agree - post a 'hole' picture of your house if you can!
